Quality Inspector II

Amphenol PCD is looking to add a Quality Inspector

• Level II to the team in Beverly, MA.

Job Summary:

Quality Inspector for incoming, in-process, and final inspection for cable and connector. Any other duties as required.

Essential Functions:

• Mechanical, electrical, visual inspection of connectors and cable assemblies

• Maintain quality records

• Write DMR's and assist with investigation when required

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Excel, general softtware competence

• Mechanical competency, hand measuring tools

• Understand and be able to read and comprehend engineering drawings

• Communication skills to interact with staff members

• Ability to use basic measuring tools (calipers, protractor, depth gauge, microscope, optical measuring equipment, simple scales or rulers, tape measure, and gage pins)

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

• Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Computer Science major

• Macola, WinSPC

• Database experience

Desired Education:

• 1+ year of technical college training (Engineering or Computer Science)

Physical Requirements:

• Sedentary work primarily involving sitting/standing

• Light work including moving objects up to 20lbs

• Medium work including moving objects up to 50lbs

• Heavy work including moving objects up to 100 lbs or more

• Operating machinery or power tools

• Use of ladders and/or stairs

• Sitting or standing for long periods of time

• Repetitive movements of hands, wrists, or fingers
