Your Opportunity: Taylor Communications SCS is adding a Quality Inspector in Arden Hills, Minnesota to help serve our customers' needs. This person will play a pivotal role in the overall production of secure, consistent and personalized customer communications to clients in the financial services, mortgage, insurance, healthcare, retirement services, automotive and other markets. This position inspects materials and products for conformance to specifications using fixed or preset measuring instruments. Ensures materials and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not irregular or damaged.

Your Shift:

  • 3rd shift Monday Friday 10:00 PM 6:00 AM

Your Responsibilities:

  • Performs random quality checks as well as final inspection in day-to-day production process

  • May act in an advisory role for other departments on quality questions

  • Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and/or ISO standards

  • Monitor, audit and provide quality inspections for both print and letter insertion operations

  • May audit good manufacturing practices document files to ensure compliance with external and internal quality assurance requirements

  • Provide clerical and administrative support related to documentation requirements

  • Maintain filing of all master documents

  • Resolves routine questions and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher levels

  • Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Desired Skills:

  • 1+ years' experience as a Quality Inspector

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suites

  • Experience using measuring equipment such as templates, rulers and other similar instruments

  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a quality work environment

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

We Would Also Prefer:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

About This Role: Provide Quality Technician support to Arden Hills commercial and development manufacturing lines ensuring delivery of the highest quality product to the customer while supporting continuous improvement projects and quality initiatives. This is a dynamic support role requiring cross-functional collaboration with production, manufacturing, and quality team members. This role includes responsibility for providing day-to-day quality support for manufacturing, including the processing of non-conforming product (identification, documentation, segregation evaluation and disposition), certifying builders, responding to quality signals, and performing process monitor verifications. Your Responsibilities Will Include: * Provides technical assistance to engineering for yield fallout investigations, process monitor signals, manufacturing instruction compliance, product containment bounding, and corrective and preventive actions. * Responsible for the final Process Monitor Release for products prior to distribution. * Update databases and spreadsheets used to track, monitor, and report department activities. * Use the inventory and traceability management systems to transact and research material. * Assists engineers in providing manufacturing support by training operators on processes and engineering changes. Performs operator certification on-the-job training and testing. * Assists engineers in collecting, compiling, measuring, organizing and recording data, and by writing procedures; may keep lab notebook. * Assists during audit activities. * Assists Engineers in developing or changing manufacturing instructions. * Assists Engineers in monitoring traceability and inspection requirements, statistical process control criteria, and manufacturing practices and procedures. * Assist engineers in failure analysis * Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects. * Review device history records (DHR) and acceptance records to ensure all activities in the Device Master Record (DMR) have been performed and approved.
