  • Provide detailed in-process inspections on Dragon spacecraft electrical and mechanical assemblies, using detailed drawings, CAD models, and established processes to verify conformance to design requirements.

  • Identify, document, and resolve production and test anomalies in accordance with prescribed procedures and pursue corrective action as required.

  • Communicate and help resolve quality related issues as they relate to the Dragon spacecraft integration department.

  • Document production non-conformances in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes as required.

  • Support Quality Management System policies and procedure documentation, assess compliance to company and industry standards, initiate and lead continual improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.


  • At least 3 years of practical experience in a launch vehicle/spacecraft hardware integration environment.

  • Experience with reading and interpreting design drawings and CAD models.


  • BS or AA in a technical or engineering field is preferred.

  • Experience working with spacecraft avionics installation and testing.

  • Experience working with propulsion systems and testing.

  • Experience working with Material Review Board and Root Cause/Corrective Action systems.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing priorities and tasks as delegated.

  • Wire harness experience in accordance with NASA-STD-8739.3 and 8739.4 and/or IPC-A-620 standards.

  • Experience with performing electronic testing and inspections using portable measuring devices.

  • Strong understanding of safety programs and OSHA regulations and requirements.

  • Practical experience working within Quality Management Systems (AS9100 and ISO 9001).


  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods 8 hours min.

  • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces.

  • Must be able to work all shift hours, able to work overtime and weekend as needed.

  • Must be able to travel for short trips as needed. Up to 10% travel.

  • Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg

Qualifications * Must be a U.S. Person due to iTAR restrictions * Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Electronics, preferred. * A minimum of two (2) years' of experience working as a technician in the metrology. * Must possess strong problem solving skills, digital and analog skills, and the ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner down to component level, and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written/oral instructions. * Must have experience utilizing measuring instruments, oscilloscopes, function generators, digital multi-meters and hand tools, such as, hand crimper's, screwdrivers, wrenches and pliers. * Must have experience in working from schematics, mechanical assembly drawings and BOM's. * Must be able to professionally communicate (both orally and written) to both QA Director and co-workers to inform of issues that come up, discuss resolutions, document or write short correspondence/memos. * Proficient knowledge of Microsoft products: basic knowledge of Word, Outlook; advance knowledge of Excel. * PHYSICAL DEMAND: will occasionally be required to stand/walk, hear or talk for instruction or feedback, to lift and carry up to 10 lbs; will be require to continuously sit, to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms * VISION REQUIREMENTS: Will occasionally be required to determine distance with vision, will frequently use peripheral vision, and will continuously be required to determine depth perception and be able to adjust vision focus * WORK ENVIRONMENT: Will frequently be in contact with moving mechanical equipment, and will continuously be working near moving mechanical parts; occasionally will be exposed to vibration, lo-level radiation, fumes or airborne particles (safely below occupational exposure levels); Noise level is moderate.
