Arcosa Wind Towers is searching for a Quality Assurance Inspector. As a Quality Inspector you will provide visual/measured inspections/tests of materials/products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if products meet all requirements. You'll also complete inspection records, and report and follow appropriate codes and regulations.

Job Location: Newton, IA

What you'll do:

  • Perform inspection of complex production systems or finished product

  • Complete inspection records and reports

  • May inspect incoming materials or plate, outgoing materials or fittings and welds throughout the manufacturing process

  • Maintain attendance within acceptable standards

  • Hours may change based on production needs.

What you'll need:

  • Experience: 1 Year

  • Certifications: VT level two

  • Technical Skills

  • Proficiently utilize inspection tools and measuring equipment

  • Understand defects and determine acceptance status

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred

  • Read, write and speak proficiently in English

  • Desire to learn

Working Conditions:

  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.

  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays

  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant

Safety Activities:

  • Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required

  • Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.

  • Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
