The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Behavioral Health & Developmental Disability, Developmental Disabilities Program Community Services.

This position performs quality assurance activities for services provided to persons with developmental disabilities including visits to residential group homes, individual residences and day service locations. Other responsibilities include: on-site visits to ensure health, safety, and quality of life for service recipients; monitors trends in incident management reports to prevent future occurrences; conducts screenings to select individuals or waiver service opportunities.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities resources and services.

  • Knowledge of group mediation and problem resolution.

  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve complex problems.

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships by using tact and professionalism.

  • Meet minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, human services, special education or other education degree.

  • Three years experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • Other equivalent combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • Prefer education and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis.

Additional Information

This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.

This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.50 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2024.
