This QI Data Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the data flow for one or more quality improvement related studies and projects.

  • Establishing and following procedures for effectively gathering and entering data, and hard copy and electronic file management for quality improvement data.

  • Performing database searches and assisting with reports as requested by Program personnel; completing administrative duties as assigned.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Basic knowledge of medical, mathematical and technical principles typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in the health sciences, mathematics or related field.

  • Knowledge of basic data management software (e.g. SPSS, MS, Excel). Work requires critical attention to detail and accuracy.

The QI Data Analyst will be responsible for: * Collecting and prepare Major QI Indicators including Standardized Mortality Ratio, PIM 2 and PRISM III scores, Serious Adverse Events, Nosocomial Infections, and Readmissions within 24 hours. Collects and prepares Minor QI, i.e. Daily Checklist (SIMPLE) auditing. * Managing outcome tracking and performance, identify areas that need improvement, and work to develop plan for improvement. Manage meeting functions and the QI information library. * Managing all data needs for the Division Chief and Clinical Director, and prepares reports for presentation to executive staff. * Oversees continued efforts to improve the design and reporting capabilities. * Managing calendar, schedule meetings, and convene weekly to discuss QI issues, projects, and agendas for the monthly meetings and QI related events and review of QI data and audit results. * Providing administrative coordination for QI initiatives and events. * Attending local and national educational conferences related to health care quality improvement and data analysis. * Providing positive and effective customer service that supports departmental and hospital operations. To qualify, you must have: * Bachelor's degree and minimum 3 years related experience. * The analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical or technical principles. Experience with data analysis and graphing tools. * Significant problem solving initiative, both independently and as a team member amongst clinicians in the hospital setting. * The ability to exchange information on factual matters.
