Quality Food Safety Manger- Beech Grove, IN

This is an exempt level position.

Archer Daniels Midland Co., a world leader in agricultural processing, has an immediate opening for an Quality Food Safety Manager at our new ADM Milling location in Beech Grove, IN.

ADM is seeking a highly motivated leader with a strong background in Quality Food Safety. This position requires a deep working knowledge and experience in a food processing setting with proven results in the disciplines. In this role you would join the Plant Operations and Commercial team at a new state-of-the-art Flour Mill.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science or Management Discipline. Areas of emphasis desired include Quality and Food Safety, Grain Science, Engineering.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a lead role with responsibility over the Quality Food Safety function

  • General Understanding of Environmental, Health and Safety subject matter as it relates to a modern Food Production environment.

  • Front line floor management experience in an automated food manufacturing facility. Preferably in a Flour Mill or Food Production Facility environment

  • Food Safety regulations and risk reduction techniques.

  • Ability to understand Quality Management System(QMS) requirements as it relates to FSMA, HARPC, CFR 21 Sec 117 and BRC Standards.

  • Ability to manage a staffed Quality Laboratory in a Flour Mill or Food Production Facility environment. Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to ensure compliance with established QMS requirements.

  • Experience with automated Management Systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coach, recruit and lead quality team to ensure compliance with all company Quality Food Safety standards and programs as written.

  • Develop and Implement plant policies and procedures

  • Ensures all colleagues are properly trained by developing and/or presenting training materials

  • Promotes colleague engagement towards continuous improvement in a self-directed team environment

  • Ensures compliance with regulatory, corporate, customer and 3rd party audit requirements.

  • Manage all aspects of Food Safety Plan and QMS requirements within programs as developed

  • Investigates to completion non-conformity, assure root cause analysis and review

  • Responsible for implementing solutions to correct issues and provide follow-up and documentation

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: This position is responsible fore inspection, testing, and maintenance of plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on rolling stock equipment and components in accordance with FRA and Amtrak standards and guidelines.
