As an Automation Engineer, you will be working within a dynamic, agile environment, partnering closely with fellow quality engineers, developers, designers, and product managers. Your role as a quality engineer will play a key part in helping modernize this world-class product and delivering an incredible user experience. We are looking for someone who is technical, detail-oriented, driven, and creative, and who with their clear communication skills, adaptability and collaborative approach can work effectively across the team to bring Photoshop to life on multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain tooling, api, unit, automation, performance, and load tests across multiple platforms

  • Review Product Requirement Documentation and Technical Specifications to develop test plans

  • Continuously maintain, innovate, and improve automation and test processes

  • Troubleshoot and document clear, concise bug reports as needed

  • Excellent communication skills: communicate effectively with product owners, developers, and quality engineers

  • Engage with customers to understand, debug, and resolve customer issues

  • Stay current with the latest test, development, and deployment best practices and share your findings with the team and community

  • Ability to acquire technical knowledge quickly, possessing both highly specialized technical skills coupled with broader computer competence

  • Develop an understanding of core parts of Photoshop (Layers, File Formats, Image Editing, Workflows)

  • Attention to detail (Creating test matrices, Thoroughness, Planning, Time management)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of professional, QE developer experience

  • Strong knowledge of either C++ or Javascript (preferably both)

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of Android, iOS, macOS, and/or Windows a plus

  • Experienced user of Photoshop, other Adobe products, or other image editing software (or a proven ability to learn quickly)

  • Familiarity with functional, performance, and automation testing

  • Experience creating and maintaining unit tests and continuous integration

  • Proficiency with JavaScript (ability to understand JavaScript written by others and make minor modifications)

  • Proficient on Mac and/or Windows (both strongly preferred)

  • Stellar organizational skills, detail orientated

  • Effective and crisp communication skills

  • Proactive, efficiently using time wisely to achieve top priorities

As a Senior Software Quality Engineering Analyst with RBC Wealth Management, you will be accountable for the test planning, test execution and defect tracking activities in support of software development. Partner with Application Development project members and participate in software design activities, program testing and integration testing of software. Lead test planning and supervision activities for small, medium & large projects. Partner with IT and assigned business line(s) to assess, research, plan, supervise and execute functional & UAT testing activities to measure and contribute to the delivery of a quality application or system that meets business objectives. Ensure the final product not only meets with RBC and governmental guidelines but also reaches the consumer market at the time appointed by RBC. Context is internally developed applications with a moderate to high degree of complexity and development or maintenance projects (single function/single application). Job focus is on test planning, quality engineering activities across the SDLC, automated test script development/execution and some supervision activities. What will you do? * Understand systems architecture recommend software development processes; understand the fundamental problems & risks associated with various software development methodologies and use various evaluation methods on documentation, source code, test results, etc. to determine whether user needs & project objectives have been satisfied.. * Select appropriate test strategies (test-driven design, risk-based, time boxed, top-down, bottom-up, black-box, white-box, automation) for various situations. * Develop, communicate, and track to the Automation Test Plan/Test Approach/Strategy. * For internally-developed applications, coordinate with the application/project QA Lead/ QA Manager to develop Automation testing coverage for functional and regression testing * Review, sign-off on and/or develop all relevant automation test artifacts; communicate automation progress, including automation test case design & execution of new and upgraded automation suites to project QA Lead and/or QA Manager. * Work closely with QA vendor partners to ensure "production-ready" quality deliverables. * Coordinate with the project QA Lead/Test Data team to ensure test data is available for all test phases. * Work with functional Technical Test Manager & Vendor Relationship Managers to build program QA team and identify QA resources and timing to onboard, based on required skill sets, and works with program management to ensure funding is available. * Supervise and Provide Mentoring and Leadership to Software Quality Engineering Analyst within their Portfolio and/or QA Team. * Collaborate with other areas Test Leads, Quality Engineering Analysts, Business Analysts and IT staff to identify and improve testing tools and processes What do you need to succeed?
