Working under the general supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager, this position has a broad scope of responsibility for performing complex tasks. The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for supporting quality assurance and quality system activities throughout the organization, providing leadership on structured problem solving teams and to proactively promote and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review customer and product specifications (incoming parts and manufactured items) and implement inspection plans as necessary to ensure customer and product requirements are met

  • Contact customer representatives to resolve quality problems

  • Participate in NCMR failure analysis activities, initiate Corrective Actions when appropriate, and ensure customer requirements are adequately addressed

  • Participate and lead customer returns failure analysis, initiate Corrective Actions when appropriate and generate failure analysis reports for the customer when required.

  • Participate and lead internal or supplier quality system audits

  • Provide technical support to incoming inspection, generate incoming inspection plans and initiate supplier corrective action activities when required

  • Participate in / lead customer surveys, audits, and source inspections as required

  • Identify quality system improvements and lead structured team activities to implement those improvements

  • Provide training and support to the rest of the organization on the quality system, quality tools (pareto charts, SPC, structured problem solving, etc.) and related topics

  • Perform reliability / MTBF analysis on new product designs as well as statistical analysis of pre-production and production ready products

  • Comply with and actively support company safety, OSHA, and equal opportunity policies and procedures

  • Other related duties and assignments as required

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 and/or similar quality system
  • CQE or other ASQ certifications desirable

Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering

Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in quality or manufacturing engineering in an electronics manufacturing environment

Export Statement:

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

We have an opportunity for a Quality Engineering Specialist at our Littleton, CO location. You will perform the meaningful duties and responsibilities of a Quality Assurance (QA) Professional supporting Space Protection Program (SPP) in Littleton, CO. In this role, the candidate will: review work instructions based on engineering drawings, requirements documents, sketches, inclusive of CAD system engineering. Prepare paper and electronic documentation on nonconforming hardware. Interpret drawings, schematics, sketches, specifications and standards. Work from manufacturing and test procedures and provide floor surveillance/support when needed. Develop, modify, apply and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborate with engineering and ATLO/manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensure that corrective actions meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements for product/process quality. May be certified in lean/six-sigma quality engineering methodologies/statistical process control. This position will support the quality team for SPP in Littleton, CO. Ability to obtain TS/SCI is required. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering). * Knowledge of Manufacturing/Quality processes and documentation * Root Cause Analysis experience or training * Understanding of Test Engineering and anomaly processing * Working knowledge of external quality standards such as ISO9001 and/or AS9100 * Must be able to work off shifts, overtime and non-standard work weeks as needed to meet product deliveries * US citizenship required * Current Top Secret required Desired Skills: * Demonstrated experience / working knowledge of SAP (electronic process documentation) * Working knowledge of PR/MRB process * Quality Planning Certification * Electronics experience to include working knowledge of Circuit Cards, Harnesses, Antennas, Power Products, Batteries, and RF/Microwave components * Familiar with production manufacturing floor process/environment * Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification of better * Knowledge of Six Sigma * Working knowledge of manufacturing test practices * Commitment to continuous process improvement * Strong Communication Skills * Strong Customer Relationship Skills * TS/SCI w/Poly desired BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
