Job Description:

This position will support all quality activities and will assist with the implementation and continued maintenance of the Quality Management System.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of the AS 9100D / IATF 16949 Quality Management System

  • Lead the team in problem resolution utilizing root cause analysis tools such as the 8D and 5 Why approach

  • Manage and coordinate internal corrective / preventive actions process to ensure adequate root causes are identified, effective corrective actions implemented, and proper verification is completed prior to closure

  • Manage the key suppliers in conjunction with purchasing in terms of quality performance

  • Key quality representative for the implementation of the organization's quality management software (QSYS)

  • Collaborate with all levels and functions within the organization (Engineering, Production, etc.) to ensure effective implementation of the Quality Management System

  • Provide expertise in quality related disciplines to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Manage the internal audit process and assist with proper closure of findings

  • Analyze failures and defects, both internal and external, and facilitate problem solving sessions with cross functional team

Job Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Minitab

  • Experience working in automotive or aerospace manufacturing

  • Experience working with carbon fiber and / or composites

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt

  • Certified Quality Engineer

  • Excellent Technical Writing skills

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering / Science or other discipline from an accredited institute, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 2 years of quality engineering or related experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of statistics including Statistical Process Control (SPC) and hypothesis testing

  • Working knowledge of MS office applications

  • Internal auditing training and experience

  • Prior work experience in an ISO9001, IATF16949 and or AS9100 environment
