Quality Engineer

JOB TITLE/LOCATION:

Quality Engineer - Baldwin Park, CA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Support Quality Manager with managing and maintaining customer, interdivisional companies, and supplier expectations and requirements

• Reviewing contracts, specifications, purchase orders, and planning

• Recommending, reviewing & approving changes to manufacturing plans & drawings based on customer and internal requirements

• Performing internal & external audits

• Participating in RCCA investigations; provide analysis and recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities

• Assisting with training of internal employees in regards to Customer and Quality System requirements

• Planning and implementing quality initiatives & continual improvement throughout the organization

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Material, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience working in Quality disciplines

• Experience or exposure to inspection of product, inspection tools, and techniques (micrometer, threads, CMM)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Attentiveness; ability to understand customers needs is crucial for providing great service for a number of reasons.

• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5

• Knowledge of AS9100 standard

• Understands Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing

• Ability to travel to customers and work flexible hours as necessary

• Working knowledge of Microsoft office products & Solidworks

• Must enjoy the challenges of working in the fast pace manufacturing environment

• Be an individual who is a self-starter, motivated and resourceful, in addition to being detail oriented and possess a good work ethic

• Be able to communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing

• Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs. Salary Range: 75k-80k annually. Relocation assistance not available and we are only considering local candidates.
