Quality engineer (New Health Care Company)

3M is establishing two industry-leading companies, creating value through the spin-off of its Health Care business, while 3M will continue to be a global material science leader, focusing our innovation to win in favorable global megatrends and attractive end markets. This new Health Care Company will be a leading global diversified health technology company with:

We expect the creation of the two companies will be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2024. We will continue to operate as one global company. This role is positioned to drive the success of the "New Health Care Company".

As a Quality engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leads teams focused upone improving quality for the product and services.

• Implements changes to quality documents and processes.

• Determines the best way to standardize quality impacts to products and services.

• Supports an area within the Columbia plant to achieve success in delivering a quality product.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a physical, biological, chemical, mathematical, statistical, or engineering science AND Two (2) years of Manufacturing setting in a quality role

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• 2 years of Leading investigations, corrective action responses, trending and monitoring for nonconforming materials, complaints, risk reviews, and supplier issues.
• 2 years of Supporting Product Manufacturing through the maintenance of standards

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in in a physical, biological, chemical, mathematical, statistical, or engineering science from an accredited institution

• 2 years of Supporting Outsourced Manufacturing: Quality Plans, Commercial Supplier Standards, CoAs, SCARs, medical device and or Drug Product Batch Record Reviews

• Working knowledge of root cause analysis tools and techniques

• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of statistical and quality engineering tools such as exploratory data analysis, basic statistics, Gage R&R, Analysis of Variance, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Statistical Process Control and Capability, acceptance sampling, correlation and regression, and experimental design

• Professional verbal and written communication skills

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $95,825 - $117,120, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
