Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer Contract, Onsite Responsibilities: Designs, implements, and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products Create inspection / testing procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating production processes and products Reviews Documents/Drawings/Instructions for conformance to requirements Provides resolution to problems of moderate scope Compares defects against standards and recommends dispositions, and verifies implementation of rework Performs audits, assigns corrective action, and verifies implementation Interfaces with various engineering disciplines, manufacturing, program management, and other quality personnel Works as an individual technical contributor on one or multiple projects Participates as an active member of the project team Education / Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Knowledge of engineering methodologies, tools and standards Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, CMMI, ISO 14001ASME, ANSI, EIA, etc. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Solid written and verbal communications skills; ability to multi-task Solid skills in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions Solid ability to clearly recognize and report relevant to sound quality engineering practices Knowledge of interpretation of drawings Skills in reviewing documents/drawings/instructions for conformance to requirements techniques Skills in reporting quality activities, findings, and issues both in writing and verbally Knowledge of use of relevant inspection/measurement tools and techniques
