The role of Intern, IT Applications Quality Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, automation and execution of new test cases using our existing frameworks. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers on our Quality Assurance team while building high quality test automation frameworks.


Specific Objectives and

Responsibilities:

During your internship, you will...

  • Gain a basic understanding of the Carbonite product suite.

  • Learn the team's test environment, automation capabilities, tools and processes.

  • Write UI automation scripts using Selenium Web driver and Java.

  • Design and develop new suites of automated tests and contribute to ongoing test automation improvement efforts.

  • Use existing test automation and participate in root cause analysis for failures.

  • Develop and review new test cases with peer engineer, as part of Agile methodology.

  • Execute existing test and learn how to troubleshoot issues.

Skills & Experience:

  • Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Have completed coursework in Object Oriented Design, Database Structures and Analysis of Algorithms.

  • Have strong knowledge on basic querying for fetching data.

  • Have prior experience using Java and/or C#.

  • Have prior experience with web applications and tools, such as Jenkins, Selenium and API (SOAP & Rest Services).

  • Have analytical skills, a desire to learn, are an excellent communicator and strong team/collaborative work ethic.
