The Quality Engineer (QE) Intern/Co OP, will work with the Quality Team to support Quality related processes (AS9100/NADCAP), root cause analysis, Qualtiy Metrics, and employee training.
This is non exempt paid hourly position. Minimun requirement of 20 hours worked per week.
The Quality Engineer Intern/Co Op will report to the Quality Manager.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The Quality Engineer Intern will learn the practical application of:
Working with Quality Team to maintain AS9100/NADCAP Aerospace certifications
Learn about Aerospace metals chemical processing
Track and reporting of Quality Metrics
Review all non-conforming parts for disposition, utilizing the report of non-conformance.
Work proactively with Operations to determine root cause and corrective action on all internal non-conformances.
Review customer quality complaints to determine appropriate corrective actions and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Participate in Continuous Improvement projects throughout the organization using Lean, CI and Six Sigma principles
Develop visual adult training materials for production personnel
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
Interest and aptitute to work in the Aerospace Quality Enginnering field.
Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people
Strong customer service skills
Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team oriented environment.
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail
Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred
