Description:Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control is seeking engineering interns to support our Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOF GLSS) program, which is critical to the success of US service men and women deployed throughout the world. Our mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community with the best possible systems and equipment anywhere in the world.
As a Lockheed Martin intern, you will be exposed to the design, development, manufacturing, installation, and support of military products in a cross-functional environment consisting of Contracts, Design, Production, and Quality Engineering, ESH, Facilities Management, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Logistics, Production Operations, Production Planning and Control, Program Management, Security, and Supply Chain.
As a SOF GLSS intern in an engineering discipline, you will work as part of a multi-functional team based in Lexington, KY or Fort Walton Beach, FL for a twelve week program from May - August.
The successful candidates will be responsible for participating in all intern activities and meetings, providing design and/or production floor support to sheet metal, electrical, and/or mechanical fabrication, manufacturing assembly, aircraft modification, and/or logistics and sustainment. Additionally an end of term presentation is required.
Enrolled in an accredited college engineering curriculum
Ability to develop, design, define, and deploy processes and product to comply with the contract, engineering drawings, specifications, and company policies/procedures.
Considering candidates entering sophomore-senior year.
Functional use of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
