SUMMARY:

Utilize critical thinking and interpersonal skills to perform a wide variety of tasks relevant to the quality department. Work closely with the quality manager, quality technicians, manufacturing department, engineering department, and field service department to analyze and solve complex engineering and quality issues. Comfortable working alone and in cross-functional teams to drive action on quality projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis, create corrective action reports, and create service notices.

• Work with the system test engineers, manufacturing technicians, and customers to document factory acceptance test reports (FAT).

• Review certificate of conformance (COC) and assist quality technicians with pre-shipment inspections, ensuring that all spare parts shipments have gone through the proper quality checks and have been appropriately packaged.

• Assist the quality manager with the creation and maintenance of quality and regulatory documents related to ISO9001:2015 standards and the quality management system (QMS).

• Assist with developing, documenting, and revising manufacturing procedures, test procedures, and test reports.

• Update and digitize data collection methods for manufacturing, quality, and field service.Assess opportunities to implement statistical analysis and improve quality control.

• Work with the quality technicians to request engineering drawing revisions (DCNs) when tolerances or other aspects of engineering drawings need to be revised.

• Utilize Jira Kanban software to manage tasks and collaborate on manufacturing orders (MO) and quality inspections.

• Assist the quality manager with monitoring and improving daily operations of the quality department including incoming quality control (IQC), final quality control (FQC), return material authorizations (RMA), Nonconforming material reports (NCMR), certificate of conformance (COC), and equipment calibration.

• Collaborate with other departments, hospital sites, and vendors to analyze and resolve quality concerns.

• Drive continuous improvement projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes.

• Perform other duties as directed by the quality manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field

• Level I: 0-2 years of experience in quality or manufacturing

• Level II: 2-5 years of experience in quality or manufacturing

• Complex English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills

• Strong critical thinking skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail

• Understanding of industrial engineering and quality principles such as Lean Six Sigma, root cause analysis, statistical analysis, value stream mapping, continuous improvement, and Kanban

• Ability to quickly learn and self-teach new computer software and skills

• Understanding of how to read and interpret technical documentation

• Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and projects and managing time efficiently

• Proficiency with MS Office programs including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel

• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 is not required but is a plus

• Willingness to learn complex electrical and mechanical systems as they pertain to linear particle accelerators (LINAC)

Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area.
