Position Summary: Develops, implements and operates quality systems for controlling incoming material, in-process parts, and finished products.

Responsibilities:
1.Prepares quality planning documentation, and participates in quality planning activities; including FMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Charts, and Gage R&R and capability studies
2.Creates necessary documentation for customer initial sample submissions; including AQP, customer documents, and any other required documentation
3.Travels to customers facilities to participate in all phases of the customers launch activities; including Component Review Team meetings, assembly trials, and SOP activities
4.Performs technical and statistical investigations and analysis on production, quality, process, and equipment issues using company's NAL problem solving method
5.Coordinates the resolution of quality issues and implementation of countermeasures with other NAL departments and suppliers
6.Evaluates process capability using the seven statistical tools
7.Conducts trial fit and function builds at customers facilities
8.Conducts testing and dimensional layouts using mechanical and electrical inspection gages
9.Analyzes specifications for mechanical, functional, and/or environmental testing and explains them to laboratory personnel
10. Assists with training of other quality personnel in job methods and technical studies
11. Serves as the primary liaison between company and customers on all quality related issues

This includes, under direction, writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Software Engineer I will also assist in the research, design, documentation, and modification of software specifications throughout the development life cycle. Responsibilities Software Development: Works with clients, developers and other team members in the conceptualization and development of new or existing software applications. Assists in the definition, development, and documentation of software's technical design and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments. Assists in the execution of software testing on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors and general debugging. Project Team Work: Helps define software development project plans, including scoping technical projects and assisting in the testing and implementation. Assists turnover of software to production support and customers upon completion of development, testing, and documentation. Issue Resolution: Assists in providing higher level support for incoming incident tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues. Assists other engineers in resolving problems with software products or company software systems. Performs other duties as assigned.
