We are worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of engine filtration and vehicle suspension components is tied to its commitment to innovation and research for excellence. Due to growth and demand for our services, we are in need of hiring for a Quality Engineer that possesses strong experience within the automotive industry.

What You Will Be Doing

Automotive Quality Engineer:

  • This position works in an auto parts manufacturing plant with the purpose to ensure zero product defects with automotive customers.

  • Works with plant engineering, the production workforce, logistics, external suppliers, product designers, maintenance and other functions to predict defect causes -(PFMEA), implement quality control plans, train people, and audit compliance to TS16949 quality management system.

  • Leads cross-functional teams to correct causes of defects using problem solving tools (PDCA-FTA, 8D, others) and manage containment of problems with customers and suppliers.

  • Prepares PPAP submissions for new products and design or process changes.

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's (4-year) degree in an engineering or scientific discipline with at least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably for automotive or aerospace industries.

Maintain the Quality Management System to comply with ISO 9001 and AAR M-1003 Standards * Responsible for the inspections of both our products and vendors supplied materials. * Coordinate all internal and external audits. * Occasional travel to customer facilities to review and qualify Koppers product process procedures.
