This opportunity is a contract assignment.

The assignment may require the candidate to work 2nd shift or 3rd shift.

The assignment may also require the candidate to work weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the plant Quality team, Manufacturing, Engineering, and the customer to assure products meets customer requirements and specifications.

  • Work with production teams to review the parts and ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Work with production teams to implement corrective actions in response to identified or anticipated quality concerns.

  • Follow standard quality processes for documentation and reporting.

  • Assist with the process to respond in customer portals and escalate when progress is not being made.

  • Assists the team to follow up on internal and external quality issues. Places priority on customer service and response.

Minimum Requirements

Job Requirements:

Must have experience with Quality Systems in a manufacturing work environment.

Must be familiar with structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5 Why, 5P, etc.).

Physical Demands

Ability to function in a high pressure environment and to meet stringent deadlines for completing tasks.

Ability to life and carry approximately 20 lbs (occasionally 50 lbs).

Ability to operate a personal computer

Work Environment

Heavy industrial work environment. This role will be exposed to temperature extremes, high noise levels, and moving machinery.

VIEW JOBS 10/6/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-04T00:00 Description Production Manager/Value Stream Manager Summary: Responsible for providing leadership and systems improvements to efficiently operate all production activities for the assigned customer team. Provides support towards corporate initiatives and continuously improve all processes while working with other departments as necessary to support these goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Work together with the Plant Manager and site support team to achieve optimum Safety, Quality and Delivery results and expectations. * Complete Leader Standard Work and all deliverables of value stream. * Accountable for "wall to wall" KPI performance for the value stream. * Lead change agent to ensure lean processes are deployed in measurable improvements. * Presenting current issues and requesting support of the Plant Manager, when applicable. * Schedule reviews of projects and progress with Plant Managers. * Coach and mentor Group Leaders. * Facilitate the identification, selection, and prioritization of projects with an emphasis on those that have breakthrough potential. * Train Group Leaders on the application of Shiloh Production System (SPS) tools and appropriate project planning tools to improve processes, eliminate waste, and reduce cycle time. * Ensure value stream results are aligned to methodology and strategies of Shiloh. * Accountable for project executions from inception to completion, including communication of results and verification. Minimum Requirements Education and/or Experience: * Minimum of Bachelors level degree in Engineering or related technical field and/or a minimum of ten (10) years experience in Manufacturing Operations * Five (5) years of leadership experience at either supervisory or managerial level, preferably in automotive related industry. Skills and Abilities: * Must have managed to an operational budget and be familiar with P&L * Must have demonstrated ability to create and lead teams, and drive change for implementation of Lean/Continuous Improvement. * Demonstrated continuous improvement and problem-solving skills. * Knowledge of Toyota Production System/Lean Certification is preferred. * Must have demonstrated computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel,PowerPoint, etc. * Must be able to perform administrative duties as requested * Lead TS or ISO audit responsibility preferred Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; be able to handle and/or feel objects, tools, or controls; and to communicate. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb or balance; bend, kneel, squat, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, but in certain situations may be required to lift up to 50 pounds or more. Vision abilities required by this job are the same as required for a drivers license in the state in which the person lives, and will be demonstrated by maintaining that license. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
