Brewer Science, Inc., a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics industry is currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic candidate to fill an open position for a Quality Engineer. This position is located in Rolla, MO.
This position has the responsibility to introduce, maintain and improve quality systems to support the research, development, introduction, and manufacture of new products, processes, technologies and the reduction of manufacturing scrap.
Responsibilities also include: quality systems implementation and maintenance- "best known method" (BKM) utilization; product reliability during product development; product and process verification, validation, technology transfer, and manufacturing while ensuring compliance to Quality Management Systems.
Facilitate and periodically lead the implementation of quality systems and work closely with Design, R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel on product and process design during the development and introduction of new products and technologies.
Ensure that customer requirements are incorporated into product functional specifications and lead risk and failure analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA) to ensure functional specification requirements are fully met during design validation.
Ensure all appropriate documentation is in place prior to production start.
Demonstrate continuous improvement by utilizing lessons learned from non- conformance to prevent repeat occurrences.
Drive systemic process improvements for overall reduction of common issues such as product family, metrology, manufacturing or raw material non-conformances.
Manage activities and produce data packages for change control and customer notifications.
Implement effective SPC practices to monitor, stabilize and improve the manufacturing process.
Credentials and Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Materials Science)
1-3 years of related quality or manufacturing experience in an R&D or manufacturing environment
Equivalent combination of education and related experience
