To strengthen our team we are looking for a Quality Engineer at our Bellwood, IL Manufacturing site.
Promote the continuous improvement function within Quality Systems. Provide expertise, support and perform quality audits within the BorgWarner Transmission Systems -Bellwood facility to drive high quality product builds. Job requires ability to prioritize multiple tasks and allocate resources to deliver high impact results.
Key Accountabilities Your Profile
Focus on Quality, Continuous Improvement and the auditing system to ensure compliance to Quality policy and procedure, which have a direct impact upon on-time delivery and product quality.
Work with manufacturing to develop, train and audit production processes according to the IATF 16949 through the Quality System.
Utilizes Engineering skills to help the organization to reduce process variation and customer concerns.
Familiarity with the Quality System auditing, supervision of layout and PPAP function and continuous improvement processes, such as statistical process control.
Emphasis is placed on leadership ability and working directly with all levels of employees.
3+ years Quality experience
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or related technical field
SPC experience and Six Sigma exposure
