Quality Engineer

Description:

• Regularly engage with manufacturing plants & distribution facility to resolve any supply disruptions

• Utilize plant quality data to monitor disruptions, drive root cause, and implement corrective action(s) (8D process)

• Manage and improve quality for various commodities: Molded plastics, engines, hydraulics, castings, and metal fabrication.

• New Supplier Assessments for purpose of providing input on sourcing decisions

• Assess capabilities with respect to quality management systems, capacity, & technology

• Supplier Visits

• Conduct metrics/corrective action reviews, assess processes & capabilities as well as strengthening supplier relationships

• Train suppliers and hold them accountable to Tennant's supplier manual & expectations

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering preferred

• 4 years' minimum experience in supply and/or quality within an engineering or manufacturing environment

• MS Office, SAP or related ERP experience

• Ability to read / interpret engineering drawings, requirements and specifications
