Quality Engineer

Description:

• Lead the efforts around continuous improvement

• Problem solving, root cause analysis, and critical thinking

• Data analysis and spreadsheet skills

• Lead a team based on the existing problem and lead through problem solving process

• Coming up with corrective actions based on root cause analysis

• Implementing an action plan and following up to make sure its effective

• Oversee a quality tech doing process capability studies

• 80% analysis, problem solving, and process capabilities studies

• 20% first piece inspections after setting up machines, analysis and problem solving for warranty returns on customers, and supplier quality issues

Skills:

Quality engineering, GD&T, lean six sigma, blueprint reading, root cause analysis, six-sigma green belt, ISO 9001, CPK

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Problem solving and root cause analysis

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required

• Lean six sigma, GD&T, and reading blueprints and schematics required

• Green belt certification required

• ISO 9001 certification or deep understanding is required

• CMM programming preferred

• Ability to calibrate tools preferred

• Understanding of Cpk preferred
