Quality Engineer

Actalent is seeking a Quality Engineer near Maryville, TN for a full-time position. This role will be supporting the automotive industry in helping improve quality.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure part quality by addressing end user, customer, internal, or supplier concerns

• Support activities maintaining the quality of the products within the production process

• Act as the voice of the customer to various departments

• Analyze for root cause and verify corrective action effectiveness for internal and external nonconformances

• Develop and conduct audits on systems or products

• Support launch activities for new or revised products

• Contribute to quality, health, safety, and environmental maintenance

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred

• 5+ years of quality and/or engineering related experience in a manufacturing environment

• ASQ and/or Six Sigma Certification is preferred

• Experience working with automotive OEMs

• Project management experience

• Ability to work effectively with suppliers

• Experience in tight tolerance machining and assembly manufacturing

• Experience in using simple gages (micrometers, calipers, etc.)

• Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision

• Strong statistical and analytical skills

Pay: $65,000-85,000 plus benefits
