POSITION: Quality Engineer 3

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Design and lead implementation of performance and automated test processes to ensure continuous improvement of Costco's travel booking software applications. Coordinate delivery of sprint stories following Agile model and methodologies. Conduct automation of test suites review. Design test plans integrated with front end and back end automation. Monitor change management and deployment configurations across multiple environments. Perform post-production code merge working closely with Development team. Plan and coordinate test design planning meetings with stakeholders. Drive adoption of standards and best practices for performance testing and automation integration. Discover problems, analyze, and mitigate quality risks. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% within same geographic location as assigned Costco office location.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience:

• Conducting performance, load and stress testing for software applications serving a domain;

• Analyzing business requirements to prepare test deliverables in conjunction with performance and acceptance test cases and test plans;

• Conducting performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, and/or VSTS performance testing tools;

• Testing cloud applications utilizing AWS and/or Azure;

• Proven ability to drill down into results and complete deep-dive root-cause analysis;

• Designing and developing automation test framework;

• Conducting performance monitoring and performance workload modeling utilizing Splunk and APM tools like DynaTrace/Datadog etc.;

• Documenting coding workflows and uploading them to GitHub, SVN, and/or Perforce; and

• Documenting software bugs and defects.

Salary Range: $138,050 to $158,050 per year
