POSITION: Quality Engineer 2

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Design and work on the implementation of functional and automated test processes to ensure continuous improvement of Costco's travel booking software applications. Coordinate delivery of sprint stories following Agile model and methodologies.

Design test plans integrated with front end and back end automation. Conduct automation and test suites review. Assess software bugs and compile and document findings and recommendations to development team.

Collaborate with development team to develop, test, and fix code to meet technical requirements and improve functionality and scalability. Plan and coordinate test design planning meetings with stakeholders. Drive adoption of standards and best practices for software testing and automation integration.

Discover moderately complex problems, analyze, and mitigate quality risks. Telecommuting permitted up to 75% from any location in the U.S.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience: Two years of experience in:

o Performing functional, system, regression and compatibility testing for software applications serving a domain;

o Analyzing business requirements to prepare test deliverables in conjunction with functional, regression, sanity, system, and user acceptance test cases and test plans;

o Database and Stored Procedure testing utilizing ETL, Big Data Hadoop, and Quality Assurance (QA) methodology;

o Testing software applications through the entire software testing life cycle;

o Documenting software bugs and defects;

o Monitoring tools such as Splunk; and

o Utilizing SQL and/or Transact-SQL.

Salary Range: $105,000 to $125,000 per year
