It supports the mission of the organization by ensuring that appropriate quality tools are used to measure and facilitate performance improvements, and promoting a culture of safety. Among other services, the department staff participates in national quality programs to ensure the monitoring of quality performance and evaluate how standards are being met.

If you have excellent communications and information management skills, you can help us provide the highest patient safety and quality standards in health care. As the Quality Data Technician, you will abstract information from health records and enter it into approved database(s) to provide an accurate and complete coded profile for regulatory compliance and quality improvement purposes. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and highly organized who shares our commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school or equivalent. Two (2) years of varied health care experience, including familiarity with medical record documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or equivalent.

Experience with core measures and chart abstraction. Experience with using an electronic medical record.
