Responsible for the abstraction, reporting, and analysis of clinical data from the electronic record to appropriate interfaces to support internal and external quality reporting. Responsible for advising medical staff and other clinicians regarding effective methods to measure and improve clinical performance. Facilitates modifications to overall quality and completeness of medical record documentation, through interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other patient caregivers, clinical informatics, and coding staff.
Education and Experience:
This is a professional level position; licensed RN preferred
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
Strong knowledge of data, analytics, and clinical documentation improvement required
Five years or more experience with Microsoft Office, electronic health records, reporting databases, and data visualization tools preferred
