Quality Coordinator - T&D

GSE Workforce Solutions is currently working with a major client looking to hire an experienced Quality Coordinator - T&D on a long-term contract position from their main office located in Birmingham, AL starting ASAP.

• Contract Duration: up to 3 years

• Start Date: July 2024

• Pay rate: $41 - $52.00 p/h, DOE

• Per diem is available

• Mob/Demob provided

Required:

• Previous experience working with cameras, and knowledge of the NESC electrical systems.

• Precious experience working with multiple teams.

• Able to work in Microsoft Office Suite.

Duration: 1-3 years.

High-Level Tasks/Project Responsibilities

1. Support quality lead and construction management in the implementation of project quality plans.

2. Oversight of onsite contractors ensuring work is performed to specifications and standards.

3. Support quality lead and construction management in compliance with site-specific procedures and guidelines.

4. Perform required surveillance to ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards.

5. Review inspection and test plans and monitor adherence to applicable plans.

6. Assist construction with any required preventative maintenance.

7. Attend pre-bid, pre-mob, and any other contractor meetings to ensure an understanding of project quality requirements.

Minimum Requirements: Years Experience and/or Degrees, Titles, Certifications

4-year degree in a related field or 10+ years' experience in quality oversight

Additional Information:

1. Self-starter, and proactive with effective communication skills.

2. Familiar with weld inspection and mapping.

3. Ability to perform quality surveillance of work performed onsite.

4. Review inspection test plans and other quality-related documentation.

5. Familiar with hold points, and witness points.

6. Working knowledge of applicable ASME, AWS, ANSI, ASTM, ACI, and other standards to ensure compliance with specified requirements.

7. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to ensure correct implementation of the project.

8. Ability to function in a team environment or work independently.
