Job Summary: Responsible for weighing and testing incoming products to assure quality and maintain compliance with governmental regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Weighs each load in and out; making sure only load is weighed. Follows all procedures and policies to meet the requirements of CERT-ID EU non-GMO certification.

Reports any potential food safety issues to management. Takes samples for each incoming load according to state and federal guidelines. Grades each sample based on type of specialty bean for: moisture content, weight, foreign matter, protein, and oil content.

Documents all test results clearly and precisely on weight slips and internal company documents. Communicates with customer and/or driver on seed quality and provides other information as needed. Communicates with delivery person to acquire name of product, owner, product identification, location, driver ID, and other information that’s needed.

Fills out all paperwork for specialty product identification for intake and unloading.

Assist customers with paperwork. Provides directions to drivers for loading and unloading.

Assist all trucks coming in and out assuring that each vehicle is weighed—loaded and empty and weights are documented. Communicate with Operations on truck location, estimated arrival time, quality, and bin location. Responsible for assuring all sampling and testing equipment is in good working order.

Order parts and supplies to keep the equipment functioning and in good working order. Receives and inspects incoming raw materials, process aids, and packaging materials relevant to department. Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety requirements.

Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards. Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation/environment at all times. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and Experience:

Education:

High School or Equivalent Experience : preferred, but not required Has or ability to obtain grading certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety.

Must have working knowledge of Windows Operating System, company accounting software, and dispatch software. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

Ability to interpret and verify scale tickets, bills of lading, etc. Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.

Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management. Ability to maintain good attendance habits. Abide by all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.

Abide by the company’s safety, quality, environmental, and HR policies at all times. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Frequently required to walk, stand, sit.

Use of stairs and ladders may be required. Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more. Operate in an office and production environment.

Production environment could include frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat or cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

This position may require the use of a respirator. Compensation details: 19-19 Hourly Wage PI55ea2dc23b71-25448-35572626
