Job Summary

The Quality Control Technician is an essential position to assure food safety and quality standards for all product manufactured at the Corporate Exchange facility. Responsible for providing quality oversight to all areas of manufacturing to ensure all food products are processed in accordance with cGMP's. The QC Technician will be responsible for assessing, investigating and effectively resolving manufacturing issues in conjunction with subject matter experts and in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain quality standards to assure that manufactured finished goods conform to specific parameters that define product quality.

  • Collect and maintain acceptable quality levels on stored finished goods.

  • Perform Dock Audits as needed.

  • Perform scheduled finished good line inspections on all running production lines continuously throughout shift.

  • Perform production line change over management of Fox Jet printing system.

  • Perform testing of drying room products required to determine release of molding production per designated specifications.

  • Perform and verify testing to ensure that the current molding production conforms to proper weight and glue inclusion parameters.

  • Project work related to a current business need such as capability studies, data collection or the creation of supporting documentation or methods might be required. As required, assistance in the inspection of consumer/distributor returns for evaluations as to their cause of non-conformance.

  • Skills in quality techniques and terminology for these evaluations as well as skills for small project management are valued.

  • Report food safety issues to your coordinator.

  • Document and investigate food safety issues as directed.

  • Conduct Internal Audits as directed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Profile

  • 2 years' experience in a cGMP environment.

Required Skills

  • Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma, HACCP.

  • Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience.

  • Experience with implementation of corrective action programs.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases.

  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA.

  • Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to safely operate manual and motorized warehouse equipment.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to hot and cold warehouse climate

  • Frequent exposure to motorized warehouse equipment

  • Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and stooping
