Chemical safety and quality are the highest priorities for our company. The Quality Assurance Technician (QA tech) will fill an essential role in the monitoring and advancement of our safety and quality programs. Through daily process checks as well as short and long term projects, the QA tech will ensure the integrity of each batch of chemical that we produce, so that our customers can always process or sale our product with full confidence and satisfaction. The successful QA tech will have a scientific base of knowledge, an entrepreneurial and tenacious character, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within our company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research skills

  • Ability to understand and operate basic product testing equipment

  • Calibrate test equipment

  • Conduct research on Quality Assurance issues and deliver reports on research to management

  • Recommend, champion and execute program enhancements

  • Manage packaging components retain samples

  • Review incoming packaging components against specification

  • Perform quality checks on production line

  • Log test data and enter into database

  • Perform quality checks on incoming , in-process and out-going products and components

  • Log and track quality issue (man hours, material cost) in database for credits

  • Sample preparation for shipments

  • Warehouse inspections

  • Promote a safe working environment with exceptional leadership in all the company Environmental, Health and Safety Programs.

  • This list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the department. Will performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate's degree from an accredited program or a combination of equivalent education and chemical / Quality Assurance Lab experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

  • Minimum of two (2) years or more in an industrial environment/ chemical industry a plus.

  • Minimum of two (2) years working in a Lab or Quality Department,

  • Understanding of chemical processing and material handling equipment

  • Required: Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and Adobe Reader

  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the company and the ability to establish effective working relationships.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; self-starter that works well in a team environment

  • Bilingual - Read, write, and communicate (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Required: Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and Adobe Reader

  • Analytical aptitude, commitment to accuracy and quality, problem-solving skills, attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills and accuracy

  • Problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collectively.

  • Time management, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure and effectively prioritize tasks

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple tasks & multiple priorities

  • Openness to new responsibilities and willingness to shift focus

  • High level of decision-making ability, balancing customer needs and company objectives
