Quality Control Technician

Walpole, MA

As the Quality Control Technician for Rolls-Royce, you will be responsible for assisting with determining acceptability of products against standards, specifications and drawings.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Create inspection programs and processes to support Coordinate Measuring Machine, Laser tracker, Faro Arm and other modern metrology equipment.

  • Conduct dimensional inspection of a host of products using the metrology equipment listed above

  • Analyze and review dimensional data obtained to confirm compliance to applicable Drawings or specifications

  • Create inspection programs and plans in support of new product introduction (NPI) and first article inspections (FAI)

  • Report non-conformances and prepare Quality Notifications when required

  • Ability to lift components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds

Basic Requirements:

  • Machine shop trade school graduate or Equivalent with 5+ years' experience of Inspection within a lean or a precision manufacturing environment OR

  • Associates degree with 3+ years of related programming NC machining experience

  • Knowledge and use of modern metrology and test equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications

  • Machine Shop, NC Machining and manufacturing background

  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • Coordinate Measurement Machine programing and operation experience

  • Laser Tracker operation experience

  • Faro Arm operation experience

  • Certified Weld Inspector

  • Metrology tool calibration experience
