The Quality Control (QC) Technician position will be responsible for developing quality assurance process plans by conducting analyses, identifying critical control points and preventive measures, establishing critical limits, and monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures.

  • Write and update quality assurance procedures, supply quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and revalidations.

  • Perform regular inspections of products, equipment, and machinery.

  • Report issues to ensure accordance with specific work instructions and safety guidelines.

  • Performed wet and dry chemical techniques which include pH, density, total dissolved solids, viscosity, and liquid gas chromatography.

  • During the product start up and changeover process, the QC Technician will perform the following duties:

  • Verify batch sheet and production line sheet are current and ensure the setup procedures are followed.

  • Set tolerance levels on can and carton checkweigher before start-up. Verify propellant line hookups are correct.

  • Perform all quality control tests per cost sheet for concentrate and solvent drops.

  • Determine tolerances for setup of crimpers and will verify setup per specifications for start-up.

  • Approve start of production run by signing proper documents.

  • Approve spray properties of first cans run.

  • Verify color match against quality control standard and weights are correct.

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production and support equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or math preferred.

  • 1 to 2 years of experience working in a quality control lab.

  • Must have working knowledge of various weights and measures.

  • Must possess ability to perform math computations of manufacturer's specifications.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Detail Oriented.

  • Familiarity with dimensional inspection gages.

  • Ability to work independently and minimal supervision.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.

  • SAP experience is a plus.

  • Gas chromatography experience is a plus.

Shift / Pay: 1st Shift hours 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Paid weekly.
