The QC Technician will be responsible for the incoming inspection of components, the in-process testing and final product control until the required inspection and tests or other verification activities have been completed, or necessary approvals are received and documented. Works under pressure to meet strict deadlines, completes detailed documentation and may work with detailed, complex, confidential and sensitive material, exercising independent judgment and human relations skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform incoming inspection of raw materials/components

  • Perform functional testing

  • Perform electrical safety testing

  • Perform visual QC inspection and responsible for final product labeling

  • Ensure all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.

  • Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications, and make recommendation on appropriateness of data for release

  • Investigate or report questionable test results.

  • Identify quality problems and recommend solutions

  • Responsible for maintaining a current and thorough knowledge of industry standards and best practices

  • Responsible for creating positive and professional image of KSEA when communicating with others

  • Ongoing communication with multiple departments, divisions and various management personnel

  • Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and system design drawings

  • Strong system evaluation, testing, documentation and reporting skills

  • Ability to produce good documentation & maintain quality controls

  • Solid knowledge of audio visual connectivity and signal flow

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Excellent planning, organizing and problem solving skills

  • Must be able to work cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or (GED), some college or vocational school preferred; two-four years related experience and/or training; knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures

  • Competency in QA inspection/AV design and testing/GMP environment experience preferred

To perform routine checks, testing, gauging and instrument inspections of incoming materials, goods in process, and finished goods. Essential Functions * Performs assigned routine tests on incoming materials, goods in process, or finished goods where results are in compliance with company quality standards. * Performs visual, dimensional, and functional inspection, utilizing hand-tools, vision systems, and electronic equipment. * Performs detailed inspection when necessary to determine quality of a product. Qualifications * Dexterity and precision required to operate gauges and testing equipment. * High school or technical school education or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis. * Basic computer skills. * Basic blueprint reading skills. * Ability to review and comprehend written instructions to include blue prints, specifications, and methods. * Demonstrated proficiency with measurement and inspection techniques.
