Quality Control Technician - Incoming Inspection

As a Quality Control Technician for electromechanical components, your main objective is to ensure incoming parts meet quality standards. You will inspect components, note any defects, and collaborate with suppliers for improvements. Working across operations teams, you will enhance inspection processes and contribute to efficiency gains. Your role demands technical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork are crucial for maintaining quality standards. Overall, your efforts ensure our components meet top-quality standards, boosting product success and customer satisfaction.

• This is an in-office position located at our HQ in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming electromechanical components to ensure compliance with established quality standards and specifications.

• Identify and document any deviations or defects in incoming components, providing detailed reports for further analysis and corrective action.

• Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective measures to enhance component quality.

• Maintain accurate records of inspection results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve incoming inspection processes and enhance overall quality control procedures.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in the incoming inspection process.

• Uphold a culture of quality excellence by adhering to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control, preferably in automotive, capital equipment, industrial robotics or related industries.

• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications. Demonstrated understanding of electromechanical components and their manufacturing processes.

• Familiarity with quality control methodologies, inspection techniques, and tools. Experience in conducting detailed inspections and identifying deviations or defects in components.

• Strong analytical skills to analyze inspection findings, identify root causes of quality issues, and propose effective corrective actions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Ability to articulate inspection findings, document reports, and collaborate on quality improvement initiatives.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues in a timely manner. Capable of implementing corrective measures to enhance component quality and reliability.

• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure thorough inspection of incoming components and accurate documentation of inspection results.

• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, sharing knowledge and best practices to achieve common quality objectives.

• Familiarity with computer applications and software for data entry, documentation, and reporting purposes. Experience with quality management systems (QMS) is a plus.

• High School Diploma required. An Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.
