We are hiring a Quality Control Technician in the Georgetown, TX area. Qualified applicants should have, or be able to quickly gain competence with crushing and screening operations, and be capable of diagnosing quality related output issues.

POSITION SCOPE:

The Quality Control Technician will sample and test processed aggregates for gradation, abrasion, plasticity, shrinkage, and other quality related characteristics. Previous experience, and Texas DOT certification is preferred, but not required. The position requires flexible scheduling, including overtime and occasional weekend work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Collect material samples

  • Split samples

  • Weigh samples/materials

  • Heat and dry samples

  • Wash samples/materials

  • Make plugs

BACKGROUND:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Valid driver's license required

  • Must be a self-starters and able to work without constant supervision

  • Ability to simultaneously work well with others

  • Good math and computer skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word desired

  • Mechanical understanding is preferred.
