General Summary:

The positon will work closely with manufacturing to maintain the highest level of quality for all products. Role and responsibilities will include performing QC testing, reviewing production tickets for accuracy, documentation of testing results, maintaining quality files and other laboratory support functions. This positon will be part of the Accella Spray Polyurethane foam business located in Cartersville, GA.


Essential Functions &

Responsibilities:
  • Support Manufacturing and Quality functions as well as R&D

  • Operate lab QC testing equipment and perform troubleshooting as needed

  • Perform production QC on both foam and coatings products

  • Bias toward action with ability to work independently as needed

  • Attention to detail with clear and complete documentation skills

  • Strong laboratory skills desired with ability to follow written procedures

  • Ability to work as a key part of a diverse teams

  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize work

  • Must maintain a clean work area and employ good housekeeping practices

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or higher education

  • Lab experience in product development or QC is desirable

  • Mechanical ability required

  • Must exhibit attention to detail and demonstrate consistent results

  • Proficiency with various measuring devices and laboratory balances

  • Safe operation of band saws

  • Basic algebra required

  • Must be able to pass respirator fit test and medical evaluation

  • Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, and occasionally up to 75lbs.

  • Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time

  • Ability to use hands and arms to lift and reach overhead, push, pull , grasp

  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

  • Ability to hear at normal speaking levels, talking and ability to exchange ideas

  • Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment, regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision and close focus

  • Subject to environmental conditions, both hot and cold, inside and outside weather conditions

  • Subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions and proximity to moving mechanical parts and atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system

  • Regularly operates a computer, computer accessories and phone equipment

Develops and implements in-process tests and controls to meet and maintain minimum defect levels at multiple plant locations. Responsibilities of Position: 1. Ensures policies, programs, plans, procedures and practices are carried out consistently and accurately. Audits work records and documentation for accuracy, to conduct analysis of trends and to produce forecasts. 2.
