The Quality Control Technician position is responsible for performing analytical testing and quality control activities within the Polyurethane Systems
Perform analytical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products using company test procedures and the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) methods.
Prepare test and quality assurance reports to provide records of test results and to certify product quality per the customer's request.
Assist in customer complaint investigation and quality issues by testing the product to determine the root cause. Discuss preventive and corrective actions.
Clean lab bench areas, test equipment, organize work areas.
Prepare batch ticket adjustments and calculations on in-process materials.
Properly report test results and file information for retrieval and creation of Certificates of Analysis.
Adhere to an organized system to preserve, retrieve and dispose/recycle raw materials and product retains.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Graduate or GED required
A.S. in chemistry or a related field preferred
Minimum of 1 - 5 years' related experience for performing duties of the job
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of computer software, including applications (Microsoft Suite)
Knowledge of laboratory test equipment, physical tester, hydraulic press and high speed disperser
Knowledgeable of safety, quality productivity and inventory processes

Must be able to pass respirator fit test and medical evaluation

Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment, regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision and close focus
Subject to environmental conditions, both hot and cold, inside and outside weather conditions
Subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions and proximity to moving mechanical parts and atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system
