Quality Control Technician

BULL MOOSE TUBE COMPANY, a progressive organization in the manufacture of steel tubular products, is looking for energetic; customer focused Quality Control Technician at our Trenton Plant who wants to become a key contributor in an industrial manufacturing environment. This is an overnight shift hour are Midnight-8am Bull Moose is a 52-year-old company in the midst of a transformation into a diversified industrial manufacturing company.

Bull Moose is currently one of the largest and most profitable manufacturers of mechanical tubes, fire suppression sprinkler pipe and hollow section structural steel tube. Bull Moose currently generates approximately $0.5 Billion in revenue and operates from eight strategically located North American manufacturing sites with headquarters near St. Louis, Missouri.

DUTIES

1.Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds.

2.Compares product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.

3.Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.

4.Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag.

5.Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

6.Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical characteristics.

7.Operates any diagnostic equipment needed to perform job.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must be able to: handle multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and work well in a team-based environment.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
