Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Quality Control Technician 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

We are hiring for 1st and 2nd shifts.

The selected candidate will be a quality minded individual who will be working in a lab environment using a microscope with the primary responsibility of microelectronics inspection supporting various programs. This is a 1st shift position. Must be okay working independently or in group setting.

Must have excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward), interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management. Strong leadership skills are preferred. .

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 2 years of microelectronic chip inspection experience

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint)

  • Must know how to read electrical drawings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Enovia and Solumina & write DR's

  • Proficient with Eyelit, Solumina and Enovia

  • Knowledge of writing DR's or other related non-conformance reports

  • Familiar with microelectronics command media particularly D12148

Candidate is expected to have an understanding of technical principles, theories, subsystem design, and knowledge of general satellite design. Ability to perform various reliability related tasks including: providing reliability support to the design team through the performance of design tradeoffs, reliability failure rate/MTBF predictions, de-rating analysis, allocation of reliability requirements, performing failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) and identify fault modes and responses, identify critical items and document controls, and support to design reviews. Candidate has a familiarity with functional block diagrams, reliability block diagrams, and ability to interpret schematics. Candidate must show an understanding of how a unit functions independently as well as interacts with other units. Candidate must be able to develop technical solutions to potential reliability and availability problems. Applicant must be able to adapt probability and statistical tools to solve problems involving non-standard configurations and definitions of system success; knowledge of industry tools used to conduct Reliability analysis. Individual must have the ability to prepare and present briefings to senior leadership and external customers, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have experience with modeling and simulations, and software analysis tools used in Reliability analysis. Must be proficient with Microsoft tools. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) * Minimum of 2 years' related experience in reliability, probability/statistics or electrical engineering * SSBI clearance Preferred Qualifications: * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Probability/Statistics, or Math * Currently holds an active SCI/SSBI clearance. * Reliability experience in Space Programs.
