We are currently seeking a Quality Control Supervisor.
The Quality Control Supervisor provides direction and assistance to the assigned work group in order to meet assigned objectives. The QC Supervisor develops and implements testing and inspection procedures. Ensures that tests are performed on finished product to quality controls to ensure compliance with quality standards. Audits testing results to determine if product specifications are met.
Leads a team of hourly Quality Control Inspectors.
Provides/communicates to the work team all quality inspection instructions, methods, tooling, information technology and processes and specification requirements.
Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed and that all employees are properly trained.
Drives daily scheduled attainment to meet all internal and external customer commitments insuring the highest quality and reliability at the lowest cost.
Works with Manufacturing to ensure all quality standards are met; addresses any deficiencies with appropriate corrective action.
Interfaces with customers, manufacturing and engineering teams; advises operating units on quality control standards for finished products.
Evaluates employee performance and daily activities. Provides feedback and ensure support to other disciplines of the business have been met.
Communicates issues and product defects to the appropriate disciplines. Provides resolution and ensures appropriate records and corrective actions are present and implemented.
Assists with development and implementation of processes, policies and procedures.
Drives improvement in quality, service and safety.
Accomplishes goals while maintaining high team morale, employee involvement, safety and teamwork.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
Associates degree required in a business or engineering related discipline; or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
2 or more years' experience working in the Aerospace/Defense industry or similar field.
Familiarity with J-STD-001, Space Addendum, Aerospace and Military Specifications.
Previous experience in a supervisory/leadership role
