Overview:

The Quality Control Specialist

  • QC manages quality program planning, quality program evaluation, identifying and resolved quality issues, and providing technical advisory services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates systems

  • Analyzes data

  • Establishes control procedures

  • Use DSS and other Government Data Systems

  • Validates processes

  • Performed IAW DLA Distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Audits Readiness Internal Controls

Supervisory Responsibilities:

N/A

Education and/or Experience:

  • BA/BS Degree in related field

  • 4+ Years of Quality Control experience in an IT related environment

  • Experience with Corrective Action Plans (CAP)

  • 3+ years' experience working with the Distribution Standard System (DSS)

  • 2+ years' experience with MIL-STD-129.

  • Government contracting experience is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Material Hazard and Bio-Hazard Communication (MSDS)

  • Knowledge of the Material Receiving / Handling sections of ISO 9000

  • Experience with OEM Process Flow System and Procedures (NCR)

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including Word, Excel, Access and E-mail business software.

  • Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team

  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision

  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Microsoft Office Suite (MOUS) Certification, Microsoft Certified Professional Security Clearance:

Position requires U.S. Citizenship, a US Government background check and may require a US Government SECRET Clearance

If SECRET Clearance Level is required, candidate must also:

  • Have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation

  • Be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance

Candidate Qualifications: * Strong logistics background. * Chemical Management Services (CMS) or Hazardous Material (HM) management experience a strong plus. * Strong receipt, stow, issue, material procurement and inventory management experience. * Must be a strong leader and manager with good interpersonal and organizational skills. Qualifications Candidates shall possess: * minimum of five (3) years' experience in CMS management, end to end supply chain management, warehousing, inventory management, and financial management * three (3) years' experience using a HM Tracking System equivalent to HMMS. * Bachelor's Degree OR 3 years relevant experience. * NACI or NACLC Company Overview Serco Inc.
