Position Summary: Perform assigned quality checks and inform management of any issues. Collect inspection reports and investigate quality complaints.

Responsibilities:

  • Take initiative to meet challenging project timelines and hour budgets;

  • Perform in-process and final quality checks for completed assemblies, weldments, etc.;

  • Maintain measuring tools and inspection equipment;

  • Work with engineering and fabrication to help resolve quality issues;

  • Provide feedback for areas of improvement in shop (i.e., workflow efficiency);

  • Process work records and / or documentation as required;

  • Uphold company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives;

  • Perform assembly of engineered tooling, including but not limited to; Assembly, hard & soft hydraulic line plumbing, part fit up and customer run-off;

  • Assist in field start-up and customer training when necessary;

  • Overnight travel required for field service and installs.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience / Skills:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent degree required;

  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word;

  • Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints including GD&T;

  • High attention to detail and quality;

  • Able to plan and execute daily and weekly scheduled tasks;

  • Ability to adequately manage workload under pressure;

  • Team player with useful organizational and time management skills;

  • Effective communication skills;

  • Ability to keep work area clean and organized;

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, measuring tools, processes / procedures;

  • Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes;

  • CMM such as; Leica, Faro arm, Poliworks experience preferred but not required.

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards.

Be able to climb ladders; lift hand tools up to 40 lbs. consistently, and parts up to 50 lbs. consistently. Repetition with activity. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as LEA rules and policies that pertain to this job;

  • Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EH&S procedures;

  • Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EH&S procedures; and

  • Attend required EH&S training.
