The primary responsibilities of the Quality Control Specialist is to ensure produced labels meet the customer expectations by examining products for defects or deviations from order specifications.

  • Inspection of products with rulers, micrometers, spectrophotometer, loupes, etc to ensure conformance with order specifications.

  • Verification of required documentations, reporting and failures to Quality Manager

  • Accepts or rejects finished items

  • Segregation of any rejected items to remove from workflow and prevent shipment.

  • Provide feedback of all findings to Quality Manager

  • Communicate with appropriate supervisory personnel as needed regarding any rejected items

  • Complete reports as required for internal usage and customer usage such as Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Compliance, etc

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years experience, printing or setting up label orders at DLI

  • Working knowledge of Intercompany Reports & Documents

  • Knowledge of DLI computer systems (scanning bar-coded orders to correct area, verifying order data in Electronic Workflow)

  • A heighten focus for detail is essential

  • Must have a keen eye for color - ability to distinguish between minimal color variances

  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written

  • Moderate level of work experience using a computer including data entry and usage of Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel

  • ability to read a ruler

  • Moderate level of math skills

  • Must be able to manage multiple, on-going, and high priority assignments at the same time

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple as well as difficult instructions

  • Ability to read, interpret and create simple correspondence and communications

  • Must be team oriented
