Quality Control Manager

Piper Companies is currently seeking a Quality Control Manager for an opportunity in Wayne, Pennsylvania (PA), to join a contract research organization conducting Next Generation Sequencing-based QC testing for the development of biotherapies.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Manager

• Lead and oversee NGS assay applications, experiments, and client studies

• Manage laboratory personnel for regulated activities and ensure compliance with global regulations

• Drive process improvement and maintain comprehensive records for assay development and study integrity

• Represent the group in audits, client meetings, and communications; ensure high client satisfaction and business metrics tracking

Qualifications of the Quality Control Manager

• 6+ years of GMP lab experience in the pharmaceutical, med device, or biotechnology industries

• Background in molecular biology and sequencing-based applications

• High level of communication skills and experience liaising with clients or account management

• Experience with NGS (Next Generation Sequencing), contributing to commercial and financial strategies, project management, design of experiment (DOE), and lab supervision/people management is highly desired

• MA/MS/PhD in a biological science or related field

Compensation for the Quality Control Manager

• Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000/year
