CONSTRUCTION QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
The Korte Company is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for commercial construction projects to maintain quality on project. Read and interpret specifications, plans and resource documents to determine requirements and planning procedures as outlined in the RFP
Document and update appropriate logs
Conduct, attend and participate in project meetings
Coordinate Three Phase of Control plan Preparatory, Initial and Final Phases
Maintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work and work-in-progress as related to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
Complete all reports and records in an accurate and timely manner
Maintain an orderly and clean presence on the jobsite
Complete job close-out procedures
Able to work in Quality Control System (QCS)/ USACE Resident Management System (RMS 3.0)
Traveling/relocation will be required
The characteristics listed below are representative of those sought to perform this job successfully.
Working knowledge of field construction including systems, practices, general engineering principals and construction techniques, materials, methods and sequencing
Familiarity with requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1
Detailed experience with quality control for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
Experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance
Strong work ethic with a passion to fulfill commitments
Sincere obligation to client satisfaction
Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, multi-tasking, communication and conflict management skills
Computer knowledge in sending emails, daily reports, construction look-ahead schedules, and iPad use
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE
Four year degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction or Building Science.
5 years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager or Project Engineer on a similar size and type of construction contract
Minimum 2 years of experience as a QC Manager
Current certificate of completion of Construction Quality Managers for Contractors course, a plus
Design/Build experience is a plus
Experience on large DOD, USACE, NAVFAC or Federal projects preferred.
Procore experience is a plus
