Job Overview

Under direction of the Project Manager, will plan, organize, and provide quality control and safety training and support for the custodial operations and activities of the NAS North Island Janitorial Task Order. Will perform routine and ongoing safety training to staff. Evaluates staff and ensures that all CSEL personnel are trained in maintenance activities and are following standard operating procedures. Interacts professionally with contractors, vendors and corporate staff members, maintains effective working relationships in cooperation with the CSEL management team to meet the mission objectives. Responsible for compliance issues as they apply to the functional operation of the task order. Implement and maintain the Quality Control (QC) Plan tailored to the specifics of the task order encompassing all facets of the operation.

Salary Range: 70k - 75k

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Under direction of the Project Manager, will plan, organize, and provide quality control and safety training and support for the custodial operations and activities of the NAS North Island Janitorial Task Order.

  • Conduct inspections of the entire Task Order functions to ensure compliance with the Statement of Work (SOW), QC, published schedules, and task order requirements, including work in progress, finished work and complete inspection reports/documentation to support findings.

  • Review all site work to verify compliance in accordance with applicable plans and procedures.

  • Prepare incident and hazard reports as required. Maintain accurate records of all mishaps related to all work performed.

  • Execute a site specific Injury and Illness Prevention Plan in accordance with the provisions of the task order.

  • Implement procedures for preventing spills as well as response and mediation for all materials used, purchased, or maintained to execute the contract.

  • Responsible for the performance of subcontractors with respect to QC and Safety.

  • Ensure operational safety of equipment prior to initial use and on a routine basis.

  • Ensure records are maintained of all Permits/Licenses/Certifications, and ensure operator certifications are current to operate respective equipment/machinery.

  • Manage the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) program.

  • Responsible for the Emergency Contingency Plan, which includes shutdown procedures, spill containment and control, area evacuation, emergency notification, emergency response, etc.

  • Review all site work to verify compliance in accordance with applicable safety plans and procedures.

  • Plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines in an environment with constantly changing priorities.

  • Other duties as Assigned.

  • Adherence to contract requirements and CSEL policies.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Two (2) years Quality Control experience in janitorial/custodial field.

  • Mature judgment and ability to work with little or no supervision.

  • Working knowledge in Microsoft programs, including but not limited to: Word, Power Point, Excel and Access or equivalent software program.

  • Valid California state driver's license with acceptable driving record (must provide current driving record).

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
