The Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Quality Control Lead will coordinate and direct the quality control process, ensuring every vehicle precisely meets the Company's standards and expectations upon departure to the end customer.

The Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Quality Control Lead must provide consistently outstanding brand and customer experience through consistently outstanding preparation, attitude, and teamwork.

  • Oversee and monitor the inspection and testing of vehicles subject to the Quality Control Process (QCP).

  • Assign, supervise and evaluate the work of the Quality Control Inspectors.

  • Review each vehicle status with QC Inspector before leaving the facility to the end customer.

  • Provide leadership and guidance within the department for support of production.

  • Conduct and/or coordinate the training of QC Inspectors in accordance with their overall responsibilities within the department.

  • Perform research and development, and recommend new techniques, processes, and technologies related to the QC process.

  • Work in partnership with the New Car and Pre-Owned Sales Departments to assist in reaching departmental goal objectives such as profitability, volume, and Customer Experience targets.

  • Manage the continuous review of control plans to assure compliance and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and track Quality Control reports to determine any root causes of QC failures (technician error, product issue, vendor/sublet issue, Collision Center repair issue).

  • Verify the implementation of solutions and/or corrective actions.

  • Prioritize and implement opportunities for continuous improvements for customer and quality metrics.

  • Act as main customer liaison for any quality-related customer concerns.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Maintain oversight of Rapid Recon back-end operations, vehicles that are in detail and progressing to quality control step.

  • Tuesday to Saturday schedule is required.

  • Oversee vehicle deliveries on Saturdays, new car and pre-owned.

  • Open and close repair orders as needed.

Qualifikationen

  • High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience.

  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in luxury vehicle sales, service, accessories, and or parts.

  • Experience with a dealer management system (CDK, Tekion, Reynolds & Reynolds).

  • Valid drivers' license.

  • Ability to commute to the North Bergen and Manhattan locations of the dealership as assigned.
